The form of the PH Circle Table was inspired by nature to be entirely practical as well as beautiful. Designed to be free of harsh angles, the smooth lines of the table top and design of the legs are reminders of the Scarab Beetle that inspired Poul Henningsen when creating this piece, while the use of oak to construct the legs mean that it is forever connected to nature.
Constructed of warm and tactile natural or black oak, the table legs are positioned to be as unobtrusive as possible, no matter how many guests are seated. The table top can be finished in light or natural oak, black oak or laminated white, so there is a variation of the Circle table for every interior setting, regardless of whether your interior style is minimal, maximal, monochrome or multi- coloured. Poul Henningsen’s Dining Table shares similar features to the Circle Table: simplicity of design and the capability to transform in to a much larger table, thanks to the folding extension leaf that can be concealed within. The PH Dining Table is heavily influenced by the Bauhaus design philosophies Poul Henningsen found to be so inspiring: it is a table that features simple chromed legs that make it appear almost to be almost floating on air, it is a design that whispers quiet perfection and does not need to shout to be heard.
